Provide Your Employees With the Tools They Need
When we talk about tools, we’re not just talking about aerial equipment and forklifts. We’re talking about the necessary knowledge required to operate this equipment responsibly. Why is that important? Accidents and injuries cost companies time, money, workers’ compensation suits, and more. Investing in resources to properly train employees minimizes incidents that result in these devastating costs. Our company is authorized to offer aerial safety training to meet Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) standards and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements.
Who Should Take This Course?
OSHA requires any person operating powered industrial vehicles to be trained and properly authorized. Whether you run a warehouse or use aerial equipment in another business setting, we can provide your team with the mandated aerial lift operator safety training they need. This course is beneficial for:
- Crane operators
- Lift operators
- Mechanics
- Project managers
- Tree workers
- Warehouse employees
- Construction workers
Everything You Need for Aerial Lift Equipment Training
We will provide you with all the materials for aerial lift equipment training. The course includes a written exam and driving skills assessment. Upon passing both, we will award aerial certification. We’ll also provide refreshments during the course.
What the Aerial Lift Training Course Covers
When choosing a certification course, you must be sure it meets all OSHA requirements and standards. If it doesn’t, not only will you have wasted time and money on an incomplete program, but your operator will remain a risk and potential safety hazard on the job site. You won’t have to worry about that when you partner with Miami Industrial Trucks. We have OSHA permission to lead these courses because we comply with all of their requirements and provide the proper training, including:
- Safe and correct operation of different aerial lifts
- Understanding falling and electrical hazards
- How to avoid hazards
- Proper ways to respond to various hazards
- Being aware of load capacities
- Operating the lift per manufacturer’s instructions
What You Can Do When You Complete the Course
Since our course includes lecture-style and demonstrative learning using actual equipment, attendees can put their new skills to use immediately without waiting. We train, test, and assess all operators during this one-time class for convenience. At the end of the course, your operators will be able to:
- Operate various types of aerial lifts
- Understand the hazards of different kinds of terrain
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Assess the surrounding area for potential hazards
- Recognize dangerous situations and prevent accidents
- Operate with 100% OSHA compliance
What Types of Lifts Will Your Employees Operate On?
Warehouses and worksites use many different types of lifts to complete complicated jobs. These are powered by either gasoline, diesel, hydraulic pistons, or electricity. Using elevation to reach high areas is convenient. However, as with any heavy machinery and equipment, there is always a potential risk. We can help your team get the proper training for the machines your company uses, including:
- Aerial Lifts – These are convenient machines that offer vertical and horizontal movement.
- Scissor Lifts – Scissor lifts use a scaffolding-style extension and are limited to vertical movement.
- Boom Lifts – When you need increased horizontal reach, a telescopic boom will get you there.
- Knuckle Booms – Get the extension of a boom with more versatility in tight spaces.
- Rough Terrain Lifts – These are perfect for construction sites, multi-level buildings, masonry jobs, and more.
