Summary
Transport driver to deliver machinery to customers’ locations. This person would be responsible for loading and unloading equipment in the trailer and securing the load. Would need a CDL license and a DOT medical card.
Responsibilites
- Operates semi truck with one trailer according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
- Follow the schedule provided by the dispatcher.
- Chock the rear wheels of the truck and trailer before any unloading takes place.
- Load machinery into the trailer and secure it for transport
- Deliver to the customer location.
- You must be safety conscious and ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy by checking the tires, fuel, lights, signals and brakes.
- They may have to contact the customer prior to delivery.
EDUCATION
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as certifications in industrial equipment, is preferred.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Need a CDL License
- Need a DOT Medical card and/or could pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Dependable and timely
- Customer-oriented, good people skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Must maintain a good driving record
- Strong commitment to teamwork and Beyond World Class Customer Service
Travel Requirements
95% of the time (within a 100-mile radius of Techicicans’ home)
