MIT Loses One Of Its Finest

On September 1, 2007, Jeff Prince, one of our top material handling Account Managers, lost his life after a five-year struggle with cancer. Jeff worked for our company for 15 years and was very instrumental in building our business in Northwest Ohio after opening up a branch in 1992. Jeff'’s dedication to his customers, company and profession was very evident with the passion he exhibited each day in his approach to his business. Character is revealed during crisis, and Jeff certainly was a man of great character and high integrity. He lived our corporate guided values every day.

One of Jeff's last extraordinary feats is his continuation to serve his customers and send out emails from his hospital bed. He only stopped because his body was overcome by cancer and would not let him function anymore.

Jeff will be greatly missed by his family, friends, customers and all the employees of Miami Industrial Trucks, Inc. Please keep Jeff's wife, Linda, and his children, Jarrod, Cam and Angie in your prayers as they continue to grieve the loss of their outstanding husband/father. Jeff will be missed but never forgotten for his service to our company, his community and his family.

Forklift Emission Testing

Our emissions tester will analyze the level of carbon monoxide in your plant.

It’s that time of the year when buildings are closed up and forklift emissions are of concern to the safety of your employees inside. We would like to let everyone know that Miami Industrial Trucks, Inc. has a "value added" service to test the environment that your forklifts are working in.

We have the Blanke Emissions Tester used by OSHA inspectors to assist our customers in testing their plant carbon monoxide content. Our tests are run in three modes: idle, cruise, and under load.

OSHA recommends that internal combustion engines operating indoors be below 1% carbon monoxide. The benefits of this inspection are: health and safety of your employees, longer engine life and fuel savings economy. Fuel savings can be very significant, which can save your company thousands of dollars annually.
